Terms of Service
Last updated: June 17, 2026
Welcome to YUME. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and YUME (“YUME”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), an independent service operated by an individual resident in Ukraine, and govern your access to and use of the YUME website at yume-me.com, together with all related features, applications, and services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What YUME is
YUME is a personal wishlist tool. You can save items by pasting a product link, and the Service retrieves public information about that product (such as its title, image, and price). You can arrange your items into a visual board and, optionally, use our AI-powered feature to generate “scenes” that picture you together with an item. You can share your wishlist through a link, and the people you share it with can reserve items as gifts.
By design, the owner of a wishlist cannot see who reserved which item, so gifts stay a surprise.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. YUME is currently offered as a closed beta, and access may require an invitation or admission from our waitlist.
We use passwordless “magic link” sign-in: you log in by clicking a link sent to your email address. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorization.
3. Your content
“Your Content” means everything you add to or upload through the Service, including product links, item details, your photos (such as face or body reference photos), your profile information, and any text you provide. You retain ownership of Your Content.
By submitting Your Content, you grant YUME a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for example, to resize or compress images), process, and display it solely as needed to operate, provide, and improve the Service for you, including by transmitting it to the third-party providers described in our Privacy Policy. This license ends when you delete the relevant content or your account, except for copies retained as required by law or held in routine backups for a limited period.
You represent and warrant that:
- you own Your Content or have all rights and permissions necessary to submit it and to grant the license above;
- for any photo depicting a person, you are that person or you have that person’s consent to upload their image and to have AI-generated images created from it; and
- Your Content does not violate these Terms or any applicable law.
4. AI-generated scenes
When you use the scene feature, YUME sends the photos and product images you select, along with related text, to third-party artificial-intelligence providers that generate new images on our behalf. AI output is produced automatically and may be inaccurate, unexpected, or imperfect. We do not guarantee that a generated scene will resemble you, the product, or your expectations, and the same input may produce different results.
As between you and YUME, we claim no ownership of the scenes generated for you, and you may use them for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You are responsible for how you use generated images. You must not use the scene feature to create images that depict another person without their consent, that are sexually explicit, that depict minors, or that are otherwise unlawful or prohibited under Section 6.
5. Credits, payments, and refunds
Generating scenes consumes computing resources that we pay third-party AI providers for on a per-use basis. To cover this, scene generation is paid for with credits. You may purchase credits, and you may also receive free or promotional credits. Adding items and browsing your wishlist do not require credits; generating a scene does.
Purchases are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Prices are shown at the point of purchase. Credits are a limited license to use the Service’s generation features, have no monetary value, are not a deposit, cannot be exchanged for cash, and are not transferable. Promotional or free credits may expire and carry no cash value.
Generated scenes are non-refundable. A credit is consumed at the moment you start a generation, because that generation immediately spends AI compute and tokens that we are billed for by our providers and cannot recover. For this reason, once a credit has been used to generate a scene, it is final and non-refundable, and amounts paid for credits are non-refundable, in each case to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. We do not offer refunds for completed, partially completed, or unsatisfactory generations, including where the result does not match your expectations.
If a generation fails for a technical reason on our side and produces no result, we will generally restore the credit so you can try again; restoring a credit in this situation is our sole remedy for a failed generation. Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have that cannot be waived under applicable consumer-protection law.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- break the law or infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
- upload a photo of a person without their consent, or generate images of a person without their consent;
- create or upload content that is sexually explicit, that depicts minors, that is hateful, harassing, defamatory, or that promotes violence or self-harm;
- impersonate any person, or create misleading or deceptive depictions of real individuals;
- upload malware, attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems, or disrupt or overload our infrastructure;
- scrape, crawl, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law; or
- resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.
We may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe violate these Terms.
7. Reservations and gifts
The Service lets guests indicate that they intend to give a particular item as a gift (“reserve” it). A reservation is a coordination tool only. YUME does not buy, sell, ship, or process payment for any gift, is not a party to any transaction between you and a gift-giver or any third-party store, and makes no guarantee that a reserved gift will be purchased or delivered.
8. Third-party products and links
Wishlist items link to products on third-party websites, and the Service retrieves publicly available information about those products. We do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for third-party websites, their products, prices, availability, or content. Your dealings with any third-party store are solely between you and that store.
9. Beta service and availability
The Service is provided as an evolving closed beta. We may add, change, suspend, or remove features at any time, and we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time. We may also impose usage limits, such as rate limits, to protect the Service.
10. Intellectual property
The Service itself, including its software, design, text, and the YUME name and logo, is owned by YUME and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding without our prior written permission. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that AI-generated output will be accurate, suitable, or fit for any purpose.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, YUME and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless YUME and its operators from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including content licenses you have granted, payment terms, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification — will survive.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of Ukraine, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
